Jones to Attend Pro Soccer Combine

WORCESTER, PA -- Marywood men's soccer senior Ryan Jones will participate in the InfoSport: Pro Soccer Combine, held in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. The three-day event is slated for Jan. 8-10, 2013 and brings in approximately 250 aspiring professional soccer players from around the world.
 
InfoSport's Pro Soccer Combines have grown into an annual event enabling talented, aspiring pro players the chance to display their talents. Major League Soccer, United Soccer Leagues, North American Soccer League, and Major Indoor Soccer League coaches, scouts and agents are always in attendance.

“InfoSport's professional combines are recognized around the soccer world as one of the most effective means for players to showcase their talents and advance their professional careers,” InfoSport President Julie D. Lanzillo said. “Countless soccer players who have used InfoSport's services have been drafted or signed free agent contracts with teams in MLS, USL, NASL, MISL and countries around the world over the past 12 years.”
 
Jones was recently named the 2012 CSAC Player of the Year. The defender scored seven goals, four assists for 18 points this past season. He finished his career with 14 goals, 25 assists and 53 points. A four-time member of the CSAC's first team, he won the conference's Co-Player of the Year in 2011.
 
At the combine, InfoSport Director of Soccer Daryl Shore, an NASL head coach (Fort Lauderdale Strikers) and former MLS Assistant Coach (Chicago Fire), assembles a coaching and evaluation staff from the professional soccer ranks of the United States. Already scheduled to be on staff at the 2013 InfoSport Pro Soccer Combine are CJ Brown, Real Salt Lake assistant coach; Ezra Hendrickson, Seattle Sounders assistant coach; Tim Hanley, Houston Dynamo assistant coach; John Pascarella, Sporting KC; Denis Hamlett, Montreal Impact assistant coach; Aron Hyde, Chicago Fire assistant coach; Jesse Myers, Rochester Rhinos (USL Pro) head coach; Justin Evans, Pittsburgh Riverhounds (USL Pro) head coach; Brian Haynes, Atlanta Silverbacks (NASL) head coach; Colin Clarke, Carolina RailHawks (NASL) head coach; Adrian Whitbread, Puerto Rico Islanders (NASL) head coach; as well as other professional coaches.
 
Scouting reports on each participant are made available to every professional soccer team around the world.
