Anlas Earns Marywood's First All-Conference Honor in Swimming

Madison, NJ - Marywood University's Catherine Anlas has been named First Team All-Conference as the Landmark Conference released its end of the year awards following the completion of the Swimming and Diving Championships held this past weekend at Marywood University.  Anlas established a new conference record in the 50 yard freestyle in winning Marywood's first ever championship at the event.

Anlas set the new record with a time of 24.31 in the finals on Friday only hours after her and the University of Scranton's Carolyn Gillespie set a new record in the preliminary rounds after tying with times of 24.33.  Anlas also finished third in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 54.31. 

In swimming & diving, student-athletes who win an event (or are members of a winning relay) earn First-Team All-Conference distinction, and runners-up in events earn Second-Team All-Conference.
