Pacers Wrap Season with Semi-Final Loss to No. 5 Cabrini

Radnor, PA – Marywood University men's lacrosse team concluded its season with a 19-2 loss to No. 5 Cabrini College Monday in the first round of the Colonial States Athletics Conference. The fourth-seeded Pacers' loss to the top-seeded Cavaliers gives them a 5-11 overall record for the season.

Senior goalkeeper Nicholas Cornella made 15 stops and a team-high six ground balls. Cornella broke his own program single-season record with 236 saves.

Both Marywood goals were scored by Sam Trill. Trill finishes the season with a team-high 48 points on 36 goals and 12 assists.

Dylan Swope and Ryan Nowell each produced an assist. Playing in his final collegiate game, Mike Falco grabbed three ground balls.

The Cavaliers outshot the Pacers by a 65-14 margin. The Pacers totaled 24 ground balls to Cabrini's 45. Marywood went 17-for-24 on clear attempts, and Cabrini was successful on all 20 tries.

Cabrini scored the first five goals of the game until Trill's first came with 3:35 left in the first half. Marywood would not score again until the 12:49 mark in the fourth quarter.

Corey Elmer and Anthony DiSanzo each garnered four goals for the Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers face second-seeded Centenary College in the CSAC championship game. The Cyclones defeated Gwnedd-Mercy 12-5 in the other semifinal.
