Moscow, PA - Marywood University's men's golf team rallied form a five stroke deficit after day one of the 2016 CSAC Men's Golf Championships to claim their second straight title and a berth into the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships.  The Pacers shot a 307 on day one but fired a 302 on day two, thanks mostly to a 12-stroke turnaround from Dalton Deardorff, to claim the hardware.

Deardorff shot a 82 on day one but fired a low round of two-under-par 70 on day two at Elmhurst Country Club to help lead the Pacers to their comeback win.

Brandon Gagne of Neumann University claimed medalist honors with two day total of 145 (73, 72) and helped guide the Knights to a runner-up finish (617). Cabrini finished third with a 644.

Marywood's Nicholas Johnson was the individual runner-up after recording a two day score of 151 (76, 75).

Tana Thomas (Immaculata) was named the 2016 CSAC Coach of the Year in her final year at the helm of the Mighty Macs' program.  Johnson, Michael Thomas (153-73,80), Deardorff (152-82,70) and Jesse Bingaman (153-76,77) were all named First Team All-CSAC.

Emily Osborne won the CSAC Women's Invitational with a two day score of 202 (100, 102).

Marywood will return to the NCAA Division III Golf Championships in two weeks, to be held this year in Rochester, New York. More information on the NCAA Division III Championship, hosted by St. John Fisher College, can be found here.
