Originally from Palmyra, Pa., George Downey IV was a member of the inaugural men's lacrosse team. Dowey played in all 63 games in his four-year career.
Downey holds the single-season record for face-off win percentage (.677). In his career, he holds the ground ball (288) and face-off win percentage (.610) records.
He was the first-ever First Team All-CSAC men's lacrosse selection in 2010, and he repeated his selection again in 2011. Downey IV was named an ECAC Metro-South Second Team All-Star.
Downey IV currently plays professionally for the Colorado Mammoths in the National Lacrosse League. He previously played for the Philadelphia Wings in the NLL.
