Harold Shaw became the first men’s basketball player to earn an All-Conference honor when he was named to the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference’s Second Team for the 1999-2000 season.  A 2001 graduate of Marywood, Shaw starred for the Pacers from 1997-2001, and, along with Billet, guided the Pacers to their first ever post-season appearance in the 1999-2000 season PAC playoffs.

Shaw would go on to earn a second All-Conference selection in the 2000-01 season when he was again named to the PAC Second Team.  A PAC All-Academic selection in 1998, 1999 and 2000, Shaw was voted as the team MVP for the 1999-2000 season and a year later was named team captain.

Still the career record holder in defensive rebounds (430) and total rebounds (618), Shaw joined the 1,000 point club during his senior season and currently ranks fifth on the Pacers’ all-time scoring list with 1,077 career points.  He is also tied for second in single season field goals made in Marywood men’s basketball history after making 152 field goals during the 1999-2000 season.

Currently the Principal at Gauger-Cobbs Middle School in Newark, Delaware, Shaw graduated from Marywood with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science.  He has since gone on to earn a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Stetston University in Florida (2006) and is currently enrolled as a Doctoral candidate in the University of Delaware’s Educational Leadership program.  He and his wife, Dallas, reside in Wilmington, Delaware.
