Margaret "Mickey" Loftus first became affiliated with Marywood College in 1947 when she began as an instructor in Health and Physical Education at the College. During that same time Loftus also served in the same capacity at Marywood Seminary.

Mickey was very instrumental in the development of the Health and Physical Education program at Marywood. She was also one of the main cogs behind the initiation of athletics for girls in the Scranton Catholic schools.

But it may be on the tennis court that people recognize Mickey the most. She has spent the better part of the last 50 years teaching tennis to people of all ages and abilities. Mickey is still an avid supporter of Marywood's tennis program, making regular appearances at most of the home matches.
