Scranton, PA – Marywood University's women's lacrosse team tied a program record for wins a season on Wednesday evening with their eighth-straight victory, an 18-9 decision over Hartwick College in the Pacers' regular season finale.  The Pacers will take a 13-3 overall record into next Wednesday's CSAC Semifinals where they will be the top seed and hold home field advantage throughout the tournament. 
 
Taylor McKeown and Kimberly Commisso scored back-to-back goals to give Marywood an early, 2-0 lead before Hartwick responded with the games next three goals to hold a 3-2 lead with 17:49 to play in the first half.  The Pacers responded by outscoring the Hawks 6-0 to close the half to hold an 8-3 lead at the break.  Diana D'Achille and Kathy DiGiacomo score a pair of goals apiece in the run while Commisso and Sarah Caughy also found the net in the first period.
 
The Hawks scored just 14 seconds into the second half, but Marywood rattled off three unanswered goals to stretch their lead to 11-4 with 26:42 remaining.   Caughy started the run and McKeown scored her second and third goals of the contest to push Marywood's lead to seven goals.  After a tally by the Hawks, the Pacers got two more goals from McKeown sandwiched around a Brooke Bondurant marker to push their lead to 14-5 with 17:04 left on the clock. 
 
After the Hawks cut their deficit to eight goals at the 14:51 mark, Marywood got goals from Bondurant and Caughy to stretch their lead to 16-6 with 10:40 remaining and the two teams traded goals over the final 9:42 to close out the scoring, with McKeown and Commisso accounting for the Pacers final two tallies. 
 
McKeown's six goals led all players as the senior attacker moved into sole possession of eighth place all-time among NCAA Division III goal-scorers.  McKeown, who scored six goals on eight shots Wednesday night, has scored at least one goal in all 58 regular season games in which she has played in her collegiate career.  McKeown also led the Pacers with four groundballs as the hosts held a 19-15 advantage in groundballs for the contest. 
 
Marywood, who held a 34-23 advantage in shots for the game, also got multi-point efforts from Caughy (3 goals, 1 assist), D'Achille (2 goals, 2 assists), Commisso (3 goals), DiGiacomo (2 goals, 1 assist), and Bondurant (2 goals).
 
Leigha Dolcemascolo was solid in the Pacers' goal, making 10 saves to earn the win.  D'Achille led all players with 10 draw controls while Commisso collected a game-high four caused turnovers.

The Hawks, who fell to 5-9 this spring with the loss, were paced by Jweid's four goals while Hannah Kennedy (2 goals) and Brittany LaVaute (1 goal, 1 assist) added two points apiece.  Steph Luce took the loss despite turning aside 12 Pacer shots on goal.
 
Marywood will host the lowest remaining seed from Saturday's CSAC First Round match-ups next Wednesday in the semifinal contest tentatively scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on the Pacers' Turf Field.  #3 Gwynedd-Mercy hosts #6 Notre Dame and #4 Centenary hosts #5 Neumann in Saturday's first round match-ups which will determine Marywood's semifinal opponent.
