Our Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC) are highly educated and skilled professionals specializing in athletic healthcare. In cooperation with physicians and other allied health personnel, the athletic trainer functions as an integral member of the athletic healthcare team in a wide array of work settings, including: secondary schools, colleges and universities, sports medicine clinics, professional sports programs, hospitals and other athletic health care settings.
NATA - NATIONAL ATHLETIC TRAINERS' ASSOCIATION
The Marywood University Athletic Training staff works to provide all Pacer student-athletes with comprehensive healthcare while placing special emphasis on the following domains of athletic training: prevention of athletic injuries, recognition, evaluation and immediate care of athletic injuries, any necessary rehabilitation of those injuries, health care administration, professional development.
