The Marywood University Athletics and Recreation Department offers several programs dedicated to the well-being of the student-athlete to help them grow on the field, in the classroom and in life.  Marywood University offers the following programs for student-athletes:
Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)
Community Service Programs
Student-Athlete Seminars
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is a student-athlete run committee that meets every other week to discuss issues facing the Division III student-athlete. Each varsity athletic team has two or more representatives attend these meetings. The SAAC Leadership Board is made up of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.Â
Various committees are created through SAAC to implement community service initiatives and student-athlete programming such as NCAA Division III Week, Jog for Jude 5k, Dr. Seuss Week Volunteer Reading, etc.Â
All student-athletes are required to attend educational seminars. The seminars have involved nationally recognized speakers and are centered on life skills, performance enhancement, career development issues, and other NCAA Division III initiatives and occur once per semester.
