Ithaca, NY - Ithaca College, ranked 20th in the nation, broke open a 2-0 halftime game with four goals in a span of four minutes in the second half and went on to defeat visiting Marywood University 7-0 in non-conference women's soccer action Wednesday afternoon at Carp Wood Field.  The Bombers improved to 8-1 on the year while the Pacers stand at 1-8.

Despite scoring just over six minutes in on a Jess Demczar goal and dominating in opening half shots, the Bombers only led 1-0 until the 41st minute of the opening half. At that point, a Sarah Woychick shot deflected off a Marywood defender and into the goal to give the hosts a 2-0 lead going in to the break.

Nearly 13 minutes into the second half, the Bombers used a flurry of goals, four within four minutes, to break open the game.  Woychick's second of the game in at 57:54 started it and the last came from Holly Neimiec at 61:48.  Ithaca added one more later.

The hosts had a commanding 30-5 advantage in shots and had 14 corners to none for Marywood. Emily Osborne made 12 saves for the Pacers in goal.

Marywood returns to action Saturday at Rosemont.
