La Jolla, CA - Playing at the famed Torrey Pines South Golf Course, home of the 2008 and 2018 U.S. Open, Marywood University fell in their spring debut by a final score of 324-343 to Occidental College (California).  Transfer Jesse Bingaman, playing in his first match as a Pacer, won medalist honors with a low round of 76 on the morning.

Bingaman's 76 edged out Occidental's Colton Bares who shot a 77.  But for the Pacers, Bingaman's low round would be the only total in the 70s for the day, as the next lowest finisher was Nicholas Johnson with a 86.  M. Frank Major IV finished with an 87 while Dalton Deardorff hit a 94 and Willis Davenport shot a 97.

Occidental won the event by having finishers in the two through six positions out of the 10 players in the match.  Following Bares was Cam Connor with a 79, Danyall Waheed with an 83, Ryan Volta with an 85 and Ryan Whalen tied with Johnson for sixth place with an 86.

Marywood (17-4) will remain in California for the rest of the week and will not officially return to action until March 21-22 when they take part in the Revolutionary Classic in Elkton, Maryland, weather depending.
