Walters Records Hat Trick in 10-1 Victory Over Goucher

Six Pacers collect goals in the win

Scranton, Pa. – The Marywood University women's soccer team (2-0) had a dominant win over Goucher College, Saturday afternoon. Carly Walters had a hat trick in the 10-1 victory over the Gophers.
 
The Pacers notched their first goal a mere seven minutes into the match. Walters spotted Bryn Stiles who netted the ball for the early lead. 

Rylee Alston netted her first goal of the season in the 17th minute, assisted by Caroline Walters. 

Carly Walters laced her first goal of the afternoon in the 23rd minute.

Elena De Los Santos tallied her first collegiate goal in the 29th minute, putting the Pacers ahead, 4-0. 

Marywood's offense continued to stay hot in the second half, as Stiles collected her second goal of the game while Carly Walters completed the hat trick with goals in the 52nd and 56th minutes. 

Yianna Mazzella notched back-to-back goals padding the Pacers lead to 9-0.

Bella Wright had the 10th Pacers goal of the day in the 71st minute. 

Goucher scored their lone goal in the 82nd minute from Becca Maddox. 

Marywood's Geneveive Morrison started in the net, recording a clean sheet. Jenna Orr came in during the second half and had one save.

The Gophers' Nia George made four saves. 

Faith Meals had two assists for the Pacers. 

Marywood had 17 total points, with 28 shots, and 15 shots on goal in the contest. 

The Pacers will resume play Wednesday, hosting Lancaster Bible College.
