Men's Soccer Draws Arcadia

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University men's soccer tied Arcadia University 1-1 on Saturday. The Pacers end a five-game losing streak versus the Knights, earning their first draw since 2015.

The Pacers took an early lead in the 10th minute. On an effective counterattack, Grant Bernstein made a connecting pass down the right flank to Jake Brown. Brown delivered a cross to set up Owen Clearwaters' fifth goal of the season.

After a second half that mostly saw possession in the Pacers' defensive zone, Arcadia earned the equalizer in the 86th minute. On a ball that bounced around inside the box, the Knights' Scott Jordan shelved it in the lower left frame.

Kelton Ostrander made a game-saving save in the 90th minute. With 24 seconds remaining, Alex Chzowych hit the cross bar. The ball bounced in front of the goal line, and Ostrander saved the second chance.

Hayden Slater helped the Pacers' limit the Knights to just six shots on goal with multiple block shots despite having three-fourths possession.

Ostrander finished with five saves.

Arcadia (3-1-4) outshot the Pacers by a 21-5 margin. The Knights had a 17-2 advantage in corner kicks.

The Pacers travel to Bethlehem, Pa. to take on Moravian University.
