Kevin Borrelli begins his sixth year as Assistant Cross Country/Track and Field Coach in 2019-20 after a distinguished six-year career as the Pacers’ Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach. In six years, Borrelli earned five Coach of the Year honors on the women's side and lifted both the women’s and men’s programs to arguably their best seasons ever. He is the only Marywood athletics coach to be named a regional Coach of the Year. He won USTFCCCA Mideast Coach of the Year honors in 2013. 

In 2013, Borrelli took the Women's Cross Country team to the NCAA Championships for the first time in program history. Marywood recorded the program's highest finish ever at a Regional meet (3rd) and claimed the program's fourth consecutive CSAC title. They finished 24th at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. 

As an assistant coach, he has coached teams to two Atlantic East cross country championships, two Atlantic East track and field championships, six CSAC women's cross country championships, including a pair of CSAC individual first place honors. He guided a pair of runners to 10K gold medals at the CSAC track and field championships in 2017.

In 2012, Borrelli guided the women's team to their third-straight CSAC Championship and the program's eighth conference title in the last ten years and an impressive 7th place showing at the NCAA Regional meet. The Pacers have spent multiple weeks in the top-ten of the regional rankings over the past three seasons, ranking as high as fifth in 2011. The men's side also had an outstanding 2012 campaign, finishing in third place after bringing home CSAC Runner-Up hardware in 2011. 

Borrelli was named to the Northeast Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 2016.

 
Coach Borrelli was a standout local runner at Mid Valley where he won three district titles, three state medals, and earned the title of Lackawanna County runner of the year in 2000 and 2001. He holds school record times of 4:27 in the 1600 and 9:35 in the 3200.

Borrelli also enjoyed an outstanding running career at Division I Duquesne University. While at Duquesne, he earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors five times while participating in cross country and indoor and outdoor track and was also named to the IC4A All East Team twice. In 2005 Borrelli helped led the Dukes to there first ever Atlantic 10 Conference Team Championship. Borrelli ended his collegiate career with 3k PR of 8:38, 5k PR of 14:58, 10k PR of 30:42, and cross country PR of 8k 25:09.

Coach Borrelli continues to run competitively and win many local road races including: two time Wilkes Barre Triple Crown winner, Lehigh Valley Half Marathon, and Back-to-Back wins in the Steamtown Marathon. Other notable finishes have been two top 15 finishes at Broad Street 10 miler in Philadelphia, two top 7 (diamond winner) at the Run for the Diamonds, and top 30 finishes at the Boilermaker 15k and New Haven 20k (US National championships). Top times include 15k in 48:02, 20k in 1:04:15, Half-Marathon in 1:08:49, Marathon in 2:22:42.

In 2014, he finished first at the Greater Binghamton Bridge Half Marathon, second at the Scranton Half Marathon, and third at the Allentown St. Luke's Half Marathon.

Borrelli earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Duquesne in 2006 and a masters in instructional technology from Wilkes University and currently teaches 6th grade at Pocono Mountain Clear Water Intermediate School.
