Jennifer Carleton joined the Marywood University athletics department as the women's basketball head coach in September 2019, becoming the 11th coach in program history. She also serves as the Athletic Department's Coordinator of Athletic Academic Success.

Carleton has 10 seasons of head coaching experience at the Division II ranks prior to arriving at Marywood. She previously served as head coach at University of Bridgeport and Goldey-Beacom College.

In six seasons at Goldey-Beacom, Carleton amassed a 94-76 record overall with a .552 winning percentage. She took the Lightning to the NCAA Division II tournament in 2011, winning the CACC for the first time in school history. After taking over the Goldey-Beacom program, Carleton finished her last four seasons with 15-plus wins. She led the Lightning to a program-record 20 wins in 2012-13.

She later took over the head coaching role at Bridgeport. Carleton had a 48-91 record with the Purple Knights from 2013-18.

Carleton served as an Assistant Athletic Director, compliance director, Senior Women's Administrator (SWA), and Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) director at Goldey-Beacom.

Prior to becoming a head coach, Carleton was an assistant coach at Holy Family University in 2006-07 and Caldwell University from 2003-06. In her lone season at Holy Family, she helped the Tigers to a CACC championship.

Carleton served on the NCAA East Regional Advisory Committee in 2018. She was an NCAA site supervisor for the Division III East Regional at Stonehill College in 2018. Carleton assumed a membership role on the WBCA Coaches Excellence Program in 2015.

She played at Caldwell College, earning a CACC tournament championship in 2003. She held the school record and currently ranks sixth all-time for most 3-pointers in a career.

Carleton holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Caldwell University.
