BOX SCORE

Scranton, PA - Immaculata University's Gio DeMartini settled a Kevin Glenn corner kick in the 50th minute of play to score the game's lone goal as the visiting Mighty Macs escaped Scranton with a 1-0 PAC win Wednesday afternoon in men's soccer action.

DeMartini took Glenn's corner at the top of the 18, turned to his right and ripped a shot that deflected off the back of a Marywood defender and into the net past diving Marywood keeper Danny Reynolds (Meriden, CT).

Immaculata University held a 15-8 advantage in shots, but the Mighty Mac defense limited Marywood to just three shots on goal which were easily handled by keeper Stone Gahagan.  Gahagan played all 90 minutes in net for Immaculata to earn the shut-out as the visitors improved to 7-5-1 (2-2-1 PAC).

Reynolds made seven saves in net for Marywood, who fell to 4-9 (0-5 PAC) with the loss.  Marywood returns to action next Tuesday when they play local PAC rival Misericordia University for the last time before Misericordia moves to the MAC Freedom Conference next fall.  Kickoff in Dallas is set for 7:00 pm.
