Aurora, NY – Kate Krempasky (Honesdale, PA) scored two goals and Brittany Beaton (Blandon, PA) assisted on both as visiting Marywood posted a 3-0 win over host Wells College in non-conference field hockey action Monday afternoon.
Marywood, now 5-10 overall, got thing started just over a minute into the game when Krempasky capitalized on a Beaton pass and slotted the ball past Wells net-minder Beth Cereo for the 1-0 lead. Just over thirteen minutes later, Shannon Hubbard (Oxford, NY) gave the Pacers a 2-0 lead off an assist from Caitlin Hadzimichalis (Harmony, NJ).
The score would remain 2-0 until there were 21 minutes left in the game when Krempasky added her second goal of the day off another Beaton assist. Stephanie Ziemski (Lake Hiawatha, NJ) made seven saves on the day to collect her fifth shut-out of the season.
Marywood held a 9-5 advantage in penalty corners and a 17-11 advantage in shots. The Pacers will return to action Thursday when they host Immaculata University in PAC action at 4:00 pm.
