Misericordia Prevails Over Marywood, 4-0

Dallas, PA -The Misericordia University men's soccer team clinched the top seed for the upcoming Pennsylvania Athletic Conference playoffs with a 4-0 win over Marywood, Tuesday night at Mangelsdorf Field.

Tyler Mensch scored a goal for the fourth straight game and Joey Scanlon, Tim Bullis and Kevin Mellinger all added goals as the Cougars improved to 11-4 overall and 7-0 in the PAC.

Scanlon put the Cougars up 1-0 with assists from Mensch and Colin Hynes at the 15 minute mark.  Bullis made it 2-0 just before halftime with an assist from Cody Harman.

Mensch made it 3-0 with an assist from Max Campbell five minutes into the second half and Mellinger rounded out the scoring with an unassisted goal 10 minutes later.

Misericordia held a 22-3 advantage in shots.  Andrew Loyd made two stops in goal to earn the shutout.  Danny Reynolds made 12 saves for the Pacers (4-10, 0-6 PAC). 
The Pacers return to action this Saturday when they host Davis College in a non-conference game.  Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm.
