Fabian Leads Devils to 6-0 Win Over Marywood

Madison, NJ - Junior forward Christina Fabian (Norwalk, CT) scored two goals to lead the College at Florham Devils past Marywood, 6-0, on Monday afternoon in non-conference action.  With the win, the Devils improved to 6-5, while the Pacers slipped to 2-8. 

Fabian started the scoring at the 5:33 mark when she converted a pass from senior midfielder Lindsay Specht (Jackson, NJ) to give FDU a 1-0 lead.  Fabian made it 2-0 in the 29th minute before freshman forward Laura Core (Mullica Hill, NJ), senior forward Colleen Weimer (Atlantic Highlands, NJ) and junior midfielder Karlee Teeling (Phillipsburg, N) all scored in the last 4:00 of the first half to give FDU a 5-0 lead at intermission.  The Devils tacked on another goal by sophomore forward Christy Barbetto (Hammonton, NJ) in the second half to end the scoring.

Junior goalkeeper Jamie SanFilippo (Succasunna, NJ) made one save in net to record the shut-out, while Marywood net-minder Stephanie Ziemski (Lake Hiawatha, NJ) made 17 saves.

Marywood returns to conference play this Wednesday when they host Cedar Crest College at 4:00 pm.
