Scranton, PA – Marywood established a new school record for wins in a season with a 6-1 win over visiting Davis College on Saturday afternoon.  With the win, the Pacers improve their record to 5-10, while the Falcons fall to 2-8.

Marywood opened the scoring in the 11th minute of the game when William Gordon (Harrisburg, PA) settled a ball at the top of the penalty area to Jordan Krawitz (Shavertown, PA) who blasted a shot that beat Falcon goalkeeper Nate Brenner just underneath the crossbar.  Less than three minutes later, Greg Cleary (Parsippany, NJ) scored on a breakaway to extend Marywood's lead to two, and in the 26th  With his second assist on the day, Gordon tied the Pacers' record for assists in a match. minute, Cleary scored again off a thru-ball from Gordon.

In the 41st minute, Victor Arenas (Reading, PA) headed home a Derek LaLone (Mannsville, NY) corner kick and Juan Baeza (Oxford, Mexico) did the same with an Anthony Roma (Endicott, NY) corner kick in the 53rd minute to extend the Pacers' lead to five.

The Falcons scored on a well-executed restart in the 76th minute to end Jonathan Tyson's (Moscow, PA) bid for a shutout in his first collegiate start.  Evan Hickernell drove a corner kick to the far post where Graham Eldred snapped a header that found the back of they Pacers' net.  This was a close as Davis would come on this day, as the Pacers capped the scoring with 54 seconds left to play when Baeza netted his second goal of the game after taking a feed from Damani Irby (Montclair, NJ) and beating Brenner.

Marywood held a 31-4 advantage in shots and a 15-1 edge in corner kicks.  Brenner made nine saves for the Falcons, while Tyson picked up the win without making a save. 

Marywood returns to action on Monday when they take on Centenary College in a Pennsylvania Athletic Conference match-up tentatively scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA.
