Reading, PA - Alvernia College improved their Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) Record to 10-0, and their overall record to 14-5 with this afternoon's 10-0 win over visiting Marywood University (4-11, 3-6 PAC). 

Sophomore forward Janelle Lynch got Alvernia on the board less than four minutes into the game when she received the corner pass from Landis and drilled one into the back of the net. Lynch added her second goal of the game less than ten minutes later when she recovered Treadwell's rebound to put the Crusaders up 2-0. 

Alvernia would add two more goals before halftime when Kaitlin Pturzman was assisted by Lynch for her seventh goal of the season in the 24th minute of the game, followed by freshman Christy Yousaitis placing a shot just to the right of the goalie to put Alvernia up 4-0 heading into halftime. The Crusaders out-shot Marywood 22-1 in the first half and held the advantage in corners 17-1. 

Junior Christy Miller scored the second half's first two goals for her ninth and tenth tallies of the season. The Crusaders would add four more goals, including two from Beiswenger before the game's end for the 10-0 victory. Alvernia goalie Audrey Hoffman needed only one save in the entire game to secure her PAC leading seventh shut out of the season.

Marywood's Stephanie Ziemski (Lake Hiawatha, NJ) recorded 20 saves on the day.  The Pacers will look to rebound Monday when Marywood hosts Immaculata University in their final match of the season at 4:00 pm.
