Allentown, PA – Cedar Crest College won two of three doubles matches and five of six singles matches as the host Falcons topped visiting Marywood 7-2 in PAC women's tennis action Wednesday afternoon in Scranton. The win moved the Falcons to 9-2 overall (5-2 PAC), while the Pacers slipped to 4-7 (2-5 PAC).
Samantha Miller (Ashley, PA) and Jodi Balch (Matamoras, PA) teamed for a win at #2 doubles for Marywood while Balch was the lone Pacer to win in singles action, defeating Sara Messner 6-0, 6-4 at #4 singles. Bethanie LeCureux (Jamison, PA) took her opponent to three sets but fell 7-6, 4-7, 6-4.
Marywood returns to action next Wednesday when the Pacers host Eastern University at 3:00 pm.
