BOX SCORE

Clarks Summit, PA – Greg Cleary (Parsippany, NJ) scored three goals and added one assist for the Pacers as Marywood University stopped Baptist Bible 4-2 in men's soccer Thursday.  Cleary's performance tied Marywood's school record of three goals in a game which was also tied by Damani Irby (Montclair, NJ) earlier this season.

The game, originally scheduled at Marywood University, kicked off late but the Pacers wasted no time in getting on the board before the five minute mark on Cleary's first of the day.  Cleary took a threw ball from Brian Wasser (Souderton, PA) and beat the keeper off the dribble to score in an empty net.

Anthony Roma (Endicott, NY) made it 2-0 later in the half on an assist at the top of the 18 from Cleary.  Roma returned the favor with an assist later on Cleary's third goal.

The Defenders closed the gap on Seth Davey's (Apex, NC) goal to get within one (2-1) with under ten to play, but Marywood would extended its lead to three (4-1) by the break.

Joel Griffiths (Mechanicsburg, PA) got the lone goal of the second half as Baptist Bible could get no closer than the 4-2 final.

The win, which moves Marywood to 4-7 on the year, also ties a single-season mark for wins in a season for the men's soccer program.  Dan Reynolds recorded six saves on the day for Marywood, who will host Cabrini College Saturday in a conference match-up.
