BOX SCORE

Scranton, PA – Visiting Cabrini College scored two goals in the span of 1:49 in the middle of the first half to take control of Saturday's Pennsylvania Athletic Conference match-up with Marywood.  The Cavaliers, ranked sixth in the latest Mid-Atlantic Regional poll, improved to 13-1 on the season and a perfect 5-0 in the conference, while the Pacers slip to 4-8 overall and 0-4 in the PAC.

Cabrini struck first in the 23rd minute when Mike McDevitt's long throw-in made its way across a crowded six-yard box to Joe Rotan, who headed in what would prove to be the game-winning goal.  The Pacers looked to respond just moments later, as Anthony Roma (Endicott, NY) sent a dangerous free kick across Cabrini's goal-box that narrowly eluded several Marywood attackers at the back-post.  The Cavaliers, however made good on their ensuing opportunity in the 25th minute, as McDevitt played a thru-ball into Marywood's penalty area, where Jason Moran found the ball and scored just inside the far post.

McDevitt would close out the scoring in the second half by picking up a loose ball at the top of the Pacers' box and finding the back of the net in the 58th minute.

Cabrini held a 16-10 advantage in shots on the afternoon and a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.  Danny Reynolds (Meriden, CT) recorded five saves in the first half for the Pacers, while Jonathan Tyson (Moscow, PA) made two stops in the second half.  Bryan Johnson made four saves to record the shutout for the Cavaliers.

Marywood will attempt to pick up their first conference victory on Wednesday when they host Immaculata University.
