Radnor, PA - The Marywood University women's soccer team played to a 0-0 tie after 110 minutes of action against Cabrini College Saturday afternoon in PAC action. With the tie, Marywood set a single-season shut-out record of eight scoreless games to move to 8-3-2 on the year (4-1-2 PAC) while Cabrini's record now stands at 6-5-2, 4-1-1 in the PAC.
Freshman goalkeeper Meghan Coyle (Endicott, NY) tied the Pacers' school record with her sixth solo shut-out of the season. Marywood's two other shut-outs were combined efforts by Coyle and Kimberly Nunez (Fair Lawn, NJ). Coyle made five saves in 110 minutes of play, including two decisive saves in overtime to preserve the tie.
The Cavaliers held a 10-5 advantage in shots, including two strong attempts in the first overtime period. Cabrini earned six corner kicks to the Pacers' five. Five different players each registered one shot for the Pacers.
Freshman Cheyenne White played 110 minutes in the net for Cabrini, making two saves. Marywood returns to action Thursday with a non-conference game at Baptist Bible College, scheduled for 3:00 pm in Clarks Summit.
