BOX SCORE

Scranton, PA – Immaculata University got a 32-point effort from junior guard Kyle Finklea as the visiting Mighty Macs downed Marywood 75-62 in the Pacers conference opener.  With the win, Immaculata improved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play, while Marywood dropped to 2-3 overall and 0-1 in the PAC.

The Mighty Macs would take an eight-point lead into halftime after shooting 46.9 percent from the floor in the first half, while the Pacers shot 38.7 percent and went just one for nine from 3-point land.  Finklea led Immaculata with 11 points in the first half, while freshman Matthew Medici (Princeton, NJ) led Marywood with 10 points.

The Pacers would trim the Mighty Macs lead to five after a Karl Anderson lay-up early in the second half, but that was as close as Marywood would come as Immaculata stayed hot from the floor, shooting 50 percent in the second half.

Prince Blacknall (Stroudsburg, PA) led the Pacers with 21 points, while Medici contributed his second straight double-double by finishing the afternoon with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

In addition to Finklea's 32 points, the Mighty Macs got a double-double from Jayson Hyman, who had 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Robert Jones chipped in 10 points.

The Pacers return to action on Monday when they host Cabrini College in a PAC match-up at 7:00 p.m.
