BOX SCORE

Madison, NJ – FDU-Florham improved to 4-2 on the year with a 5-0 non-conference win over previously undefeated Marywood University Saturday afternoon in Madison.  The loss drops the Pacers to 5-1 on the year.

FDU-Florham took a 1-0 lead into halftime after Megan Sweeney scored in the 30th minute of play off an assist from Brittany Kanickij.  Marywood had two golden scoring opportunities go by the way-side in the first half after a cross from Lisa Hanselman which resulted in an apparent header-goal by Annie McDonald was called out of bounds and a wide-open goal was missed after a miscue by Devils' keeper Amanda Buyes.

The Devils would expand their lead to 3-0 within a four-minute span in the second half as Kanickij scored on a Lora Fink assist and Lena Kalika scored her first of two goals on Kanickij's second assist of the game.  Kalika would then bury a shot in the far post from outside the 18 to make it 4-0 and Kanickij scored her second goal of the day unassisted to round out the scoring.

FDU-Florham out-shot the visitors 27-14 on the day and Buyes made 7 saves to collect the shut-out in goal.  Marywood's Meghan Coyle made 10 saves in 90-minutes of action.  The Pacers return to action Wednesday with a PAC game at Immaculata at 4:00 pm.
