BOX SCORE

Immaculata, PA – Freshman forward Meghan Brown scored two goals in the second half as visiting Marywood topped host Immaculata University 3-0 in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) women's soccer action Wednesday afternoon at Immaculata's Draper Walsh Stadium.  The win moves the Pacers to 6-1 (2-0 PAC) on the year while the Mighty Macs fall to 5-3 (1-2 PAC).

Annie McDonald scored the game-winner at 21:55 as her shot bounced off freshman goalkeeper Jessica Gaburo and into the net.  Meghan Brown scored her first of two goals at the 58:56 mark in the second half after Lisa Hanselman made a run down the wing and Brown finished after Hanselman's initial shot was stopped by Gaburo.  Brown then tallied her second goal of the game on a breakaway in the 78th minute which she slotted under Gaburo.

Gaburo collected 10 saves for Immaculata, while Marywood's Meghan Coyle registered 7 saves to collect her third solo-shutout of the season.  Immaculata's best scoring chance came mid-way through the first period when they were awarded an indirect kick at the top of Marywood's six-yard box.  All 11 Pacers lined up on the goal-line and Immaculata's shot was saved by Coyle to preserve the 1-0 Marywood lead.

Marywood out-shot the Mighty Macs 18-7 and held a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks.  The Pacers will travel to face PAC pre-season favorite Eastern University Saturday at 1:30 pm in St. Davids, PA.
