LaPlume, PA – Marywood University won five of six singles matches in two sets and the sixth in three as the visiting Pacers earned a 9-0 win over host Keystone College in non-conference women's tennis action Friday afternoon in LaPlume.
After the Pacers swept doubles action to go up 3-0, Ryann Null (Cogan Station, PA) earned a 6-2, 6-3 win at 1 singles over Shiloh Richner and Alesha Petrash (Mountaintop, PA) won 6-4, 6-4 at 2 singles for the Pacers, who improved to 4-5 with the win.
Samantha Miller (Ashley, PA), Michaela Herr (Boalsburg, PA), Bethanie LeCureux (Jamison, PA) and Mary Rita DeNucci (Havertown, PA) also won at 3-6 singles, respectively, for Marywood.
The Pacers return to action Saturday when they host the College of Notre Dame (MD) in a PAC match beginning at 1:00 pm. The Gators are coached by Marywood alumnus Cathy Fisher, a 1997 inductee in Marywood's Hall of Fame.
