Wilkes-Barre, PA – Marywood University fell to 2-2 on the year as the Pacers fell to host King's College (3-0) and Misericordia University (3-1) in the final day of the King's College Volleyball Tournament Saturday afternoon in Wilkes-Barre.
Marywood opened the day with a 30-16, 30-12, 30-27 defeat to the host Monarchs (3-0). Borden (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) registered eight kills and five digs in the match while Katie McCormick (Perkasie, PA/Lansdale Catholic) had six digs.
Misericordia University then topped the Pacers 3-1 by scores of 30-23, 30-26, 25-30, 30-16. Lizzy Green (Shenandoah, PA/Shenandoah Valley) led Marywood with 12 kills while Rionna Corr (Somersworth, NH/St. Thomas Aquinas) had six digs and 18 assists in the match.
Borden was named to the All-Tournament team for the Pacers, who return to action Tuesday night with a non-conference match up at Cazenovia College in Syracuse, NY at 7:00 pm.
