BOX SCORE
Williamsport, PA - Lycoming's women's soccer team upped its record to 7-2 with a 1-0 win over Marywood University (8-3) on Sunday, September 30. Lady Warrior senior forward Rachel Skinner (Salladasburg, PA) scored the game's sole goal in the 35th minute at Robert L. Shangraw Athletic Complex.
Lycoming was not without opportunities as they compiled 10 shots on goal for the game. To her credit, Marywood goalie Meghan Coyle (Endicott, NY) was solid in net, saving several laser shots. Lady Warrior goalkeeper Jess Bennett (Crofton, MD) had two saves on the day to collect the shut-out.
Skinner found pay dirt off of an assist by freshman Kaitlin Horn (Ringtown, PA) who led Skinner with a long pass in front of the goal. Skinner beat Coyle to the ball and sent it past her into the net.
Marywood, who played their second game in as many days, will return to action Wednesday when they travel to Gwynedd Valley to face Gwynedd-Mercy College in a 4:00 pm PAC game.
