LaPlume, PA - Six different players recorded goals for Marywood University as the Pacers raced by Keystone College 6-0 in women's soccer action. With the victory Marywood improves to 3-0, while Keystone falls to 0-1.
The Pacers dominated throughout, holding a 30-3 advantage in shots, limiting the Giants to just three second half shots. Kristin Powers put Marywood out in front for good at 10:59 of the first half, scoring an unassisted goal. Claudia Mazza found the back of the net with fifty-four seconds remaining in the first half on an Annie McDonald assist to put the Pacers out in front 2-0 at intermission.
Just over two minutes into the second half, Mazza fired another shot that rebounded off the top post and McDonald finished extending the Marywood lead to 3-0. Amanda Costello made good use of a McDonald slotted ball after a corner kick at 52:16 to make it 4-0. Lisa Hanselman used a pass from Costello at 69:40 to put the Pacers up 5-0, before Kayla Scannell closed out the scoring at 81:13 on an unassisted goal.
Ashley Zuidema recorded 12 stops in goal for Keystone. Marywood's Meghan Coyle played 65 minutes and combined with Kim Nunez to record Marywood's third straight shutout.
Marywood will host Delaware Valley College on Saturday at 2:30 pm.
