Scranton, PA – Marywood University used a 21-0 run over a six minute span just before halftime to break open a tight game and the Pacers rolled to a 70-52 PAC win over Cedar Crest College in women's basketball action Thursday evening in Scranton.  The win moves Marywood to 9-3 (3-2 PAC) while the Falcons drop to 4-9 (0-6 PAC).

Tied at 14 with just under seven to play in the opening half, Marywood reeled off 21 unanswered points before Cedar Crest's Lauren Seale hit a three-pointer at the buzzer as the Pacers went into the locker room with a 35-17 lead.  Bryanne Unger (Tower City, PA) was 3-for-5 from behind the arc in the first half, hitting all three during the first-half run.  Unger finished the first half with those nine points, while Amanda Lass (Brackney, PA) tallied 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting to lead Marywood at the break.  Keri Lasky led the Falcons with eight first half points, but went down with a knee injury with just over three and a half minutes remaining in the opening frame.

The second half was much more even, with both teams trading shots at each end of the court.  Cedar Crest improved their shooting in the second half, connecting on 55% of their shots from the floor (11 of 20) and 42.9% of their three point attempts (3 of 7).  Marywood shot 43.9% from the floor from the game and was 3 of 4 from behind the arc in the second half.  Unger finished the game with 14 points, as did teammate Lizzy Green (Shenandoah, PA) to lead the Pacers.  Lass finished with 13 points and six rebounds.

Cedar Crest was led by Leann Wallower's 17 point effort.  Wallower went 6 of 15 from the floor and hit five of seven from the charity stripe in the loss.  Keri Lasky and Kelly Oakes each finished with eight points for the Falcons.

Marywood returns to action Saturday with another PAC match-up as the Pacers take on Cabrini College at 1:00 pm in Radnor.
