Immaculata, PA - Immaculata University broke out of the gates early to take a 20-point halftime lead as the host Mighty Macs remained unbeaten in PAC play with a 76-59 win over Marywood University Monday evening outside Philadelphia.  Immaculata improves to 11-4 (6-0 PAC) while the Pacers fall to 6-8 (0-6 PAC). 

Jerome Gosney (Binghamton, NY) led all scorers with 17 points for Marywood on 5 of 7 shooting from the floor.  The sophomore captain also connected on six of nine shots from the charity stripe and was 1-1 from behind the arc.  Freshman Matthew Medici (Princeton Junction, NJ), who is currently ranked 6th in the nation for rebounds per game average, picked up his seventh double-double of the year with a 15-point, 10-rebound effort.  Joshua Pena (New York City, NY) also entered double-figures for Marywood with 14 points of his own.

Immaculata took a 43-23 lead into intermission after connecting on 62.5% of their shots (20 of 32) from the floor in the opening frame.  Marywood  hit 44.4% of their own, but were limited in their attempts by the Mighty Mac defense.  Stronger play in the second half allowed Marywood to out-score Immaculata 36-33 the rest of the way, but the Pacers were never able to close the gap on the Mighty Mac halftime lead.

Immaculata had three players of their own in double figures.  The Mighty Macs were led by Sean Fordham's 15-point effort on 5 of 7 shooting from three-point land.  Immaculata managed to connect on 50% of their shots for the entire game, going 34 of 68 from the floor.

Marywood continues the quest for their first PAC win of the season this Thursday when the Pacers play host to Eastern University at 7:00 pm at the Insalaco Arena.
