BOX SCORE

Rosemont, PA – Marywood stretched a six-point halftime lead into a 54-30 victory over Rosemont College in a Pennsylvania Athletic Conference match-up Saturday afternoon as the freshmen duo of Bryanne Unger and Caitlin Ely accounted for half the team's scoring. The win lifts the Pacers to 11-4 overall in 4-3 in the PAC, while the Ramblers fall to 6-10 and 2-6 in the conference.

Marywood built a 22-16 halftime lead despite shooting just 27 percent from the floor in the first half, thanks largely to five successful three-point attempts. The Ramblers struggled offensively in the first half as well, making just 5 of 22 attempts from the floor in the period.

The Pacers would pull away in the second half as their offense began to click. Marywood shot 54 percent from the floor in the second half, while Rosemont's offensive woes continued as they shot at a 23 percent clip.

The Pacers finished the day shooting 40 percent from the field and were able to capitalize on free throws, hitting 7 of 9 from the charity stripe, while the Ramblers could not find the basket and shot 5 for 13.  Both teams had high turnover rates with the Ramblers notching 20 and the Pacers closed with 21.

Unger (Tower City, PA) led all scorers with 15 points, six rebounds, and four assists while Ely (Montrose, PA) finished the afternoon with 12 points and six rebounds. Stephanie Fusaro (Bala Cynwyd, PA) led the Pacers with nine rebounds.

Andrea Boyle led the Ramblers in scoring with 14. She was perfect from beyond the arc and on the line, going 2-2 in both, while Adriann Demchenko led the team with 10 rebounds.

The Pacers will return to action on Monday night when they travel to Dallas, PA to take on Misericordia University in a key PAC contest scheduled to tip-off at 6:00 p.m.
