Aston, PA - Marywood University got six saves from Meghan Coyle and two early second half goals from Erica Mechalke and Jennifer Slesinski as the Pacers topped host Neumann College to earn their fourth straight shutout in a 2-0 win over the Knights Wednesday afternoon in Aston.

After a 30-minute lightning delay just eight minutes into the game, the Marywood offense pressured Knight goalkeeper Vicky Segal for the next 37-minutes but Segal managed to make twelve first half stops to keep the Pacers off the board going into the break.  The Knights had a chance of their own but an Alyssa Collazo breakaway attempt sailed just wide of the right post mid-way through the opening stanza.

Just over ten minutes into the second half, Marywood (6-4-1, 3-0 CSAC) would break free from the Knights when Erica Mechalke (Elmira, NY) notched her second goal of the season, a one-time finish on a cross from fellow junior Amanda Costello (Sussex, NJ).  Just over two minutes later, sophomore Jennifer Slesinski (Middletown, NY) scored her first goal of the season on a beautiful left-footed strike from just inside the left corner of the 18-yard box.  Slesinski's goal beat Segal to the near-post upper-ninety.

Marywood out-shot the hosts 20-6 on the day and held a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.  The Pacers return to action this Sunday when the Pacers host the College of Notre Dame at 1:00 pm in CSAC play.
