Pacers Fall 2-1 to Keystone in Field Hockey Action

Scranton, PA - Kellina Yarrish's goal with just over fifteen minutes remaining propelled Keystone College to a thrilling 2-1 win over visiting Marywood University Wednesday afternoon in CSAC field hockey action.  Both teams now have identical 8-7 (5-3 CSAC) records, with Keystone holding a tie-breaker over the Pacers.

Yarrish took a feed from Nicole Macedonio at the 54:24 mark of the game to put the Giants up for good in what was a tight battle throughout.  The Giants opened the scoring just 3:42 into the game when Brackney Brotzman scored on a Samantha Morgan assists.  Marywood responded just over one minute before halftime when Caitlin Hadzimichalis (Harmony, NJ) netted her sixth goal of the season on a penalty stroke. 

Keystone held a slight 13-11 advantage in shots and keeper Breanna Auld made five saves in 70-minutes of action to pick up the win.  Marywood's Jennifer Miller (Hawley, PA) made five saves in the losing effort.

The Pacers return to action Saturday when they host Rosemont College at 1:00 pm.
