Pacers Upend Albright for Second Straight Win

Reading, PA - Mary Potorski netted the game-winning goal with just nine seconds left in the opening half and Marywood got stellar play from goalkeeper Jennifer Miller as the Pacers upended Albright College 1-0 in non-conference field hockey action Monday afternoon in Reading. The win, Marywood's second in as many days, moves the Pacers to .500 on the year at 5-5 while Albright falls to 3-8.

Potorski (Bear Creek, PA) scored on a cross after a rebounded shot came loose in the goal mouth. Emily Wentzel (East Earl, PA) and Caitlin Hadzimichalis (Harmony, NJ) were both credited with an assist on the play. From there, Miller (Hawley, PA) and the Pacers' defense picked up their second shutout of the year after Miller stopped three shots. Marywood held a 14-8 advantage in shots while Albright held a 9-4 advantage in penalty corners.

Marywood returns to CSAC action Wednesday when the Pacers face Cedar Crest College in Allentown at 4:00 pm.
