To start the game, the Pacers went up by 16 midway through the first half. Charlot shot perfect from the field and scored 8 points during the Pacers run. Although the Pacers went up early the Chargers did not fall to the pressure, as they closed the first half with an 11-0 run on the Pacers and went into halftime knotted up at 27-27.

The Chargers controlled the beginning of the second half, going up by as many as 10 midway through. The Pacers held Chargers team-point-leader Billy Harrison to no points in the first half, but Harrison broke out to score 11 points and shot perfect from behind the three point line in the second half.

With back-to-back threes and a lay up by the Pacers with only 3:58 remaining, the Chargers found themselves down by four points. With 1:19 remaining, Harrison drained a three to bring the Chargers to within one, and Lancaster was able to go up one, 65-64, with a quick jumper by Kevin Keltner with 41-ticks left on the clock.

The Pacers received the ball back with :25 left on the clock, and LB Feduchak (Hop Bottom, PA) made his only basket of the night to put the Pacers up one, 66-65.  Feduchak came up big again for the Pacers as time expired when he blocked Harrison's last-second attempt at a game-winner.
