BOX SCORE

Scranton, PA – Marywood got a career-high 26 points from Amanda Lass as the Pacers cruised to a 67-40 victory over Philadelphia Biblical in Thursday evening's season finale at the Insalaco Arena.  The Pacers finish the season with a 13-12 record, the first time the program has finished above the .500 mark since the 2000-2001 squad went 13-11.  The loss dropped the Crimson Eagles to 10-14.

The visiting Crimson Eagles opened an 8-4 lead on Summer Mullen's field goal just over five minutes into the game, but the Pacers would rally to tie the score on consecutive baskets from Stephanie Fusaro (Bala Cynwyd, PA).  The visitors would surge 12-9 with 12:24 to play in the half thanks to a pair of free throws from Lindsey Fornwalt, but Marywood took over from there, outscoring Philadelphia Biblical 20-3 over the rest of the half.

Lass (Brackney, PA) led all scorers in the first half with 10 points for the Pacers, who shot 50 percent from the floor, making 13 of their 26 attempts, including three of four from beyond the arc.

Dani Norton led Philadelphia Biblical with 7 points, as the Pacers limited the Crimson Eagles to just 21 percent from the floor in the opening stanza.

In the second half, the Pacers extended their lead to 26 points with 16:34 on Lass's lay-up which made the score 43-17.  Mullen hit a three-pointer that narrowed the lead to 53-36 with 7:31 remaining in the contest, but that was as close as the Crimson Eagles would come.

Lass connected on 10 of 16 shots from the floor and was five for six from the free throw line to register her career-best 26 points.  The sophomore forward also grabbed a game-high eight rebounds for the Pacers.  Bryanne Unger (Tower City, PA) also hit double-digits with 12 points.

Marywood finished the evening shooting 49 percent from the field and an impressive 93 percent from the charity stripe, connecting on 13 of 14 attempts.  The Pacers also controlled the boards, grabbing 35 rebounds compared to 22 for the Philadelphia Biblical.

Norton and Lindsey Fornwalt each scored nine points to lead the Crimson Eagles, who will join Marywood in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference next season.  Philadelphia Biblical shot 33 percent from the floor and 69 percent from the free throw line, making 9 of 13 attempts.
