Scranton, PA – Marywood University won at one and two doubles action and got wins at 1-3 singles as the Pacers held off Neumann College 5-4 in PAC tennis action Tuesday afternoon in Scranton. Marywood remains unbeaten at 4-0 (1-0 PAC) with the win.
In singles play, Marywood's Kyle McGee (Wynnewood, PA) took down Brown at 1-singles in three sets, 6-1, 5-7, 10-6, while Joe Listanski (Jessup, PA) drubbed Bridgeman, 6-1, 6-1. Both McGee and Listanski improved to 4-0 on the year in singles action for Marywood.
McGee teamed with Dan Reynolds (Meriden, CT) for an 8-5 win at 1-doubles over John Slinka and Andrew Bitar of Neumann, while Listanski teamed with Tim Franzone (Staten Island, NY) for a 8-4 win over Dan Harnos and Barry Harvey. Neumann swept 3-6 singles to pick up the one-point win.
Marywood returns to action Thursday as the Pacers host defending PAC Champion Alvernia College at 3:00 pm.
