Marywood Dropped By Cougars in PAC Debut

Dallas, PA – Jess Schwenk scored six goals and added two assists to lead Misericordia University's women's lacrosse team to a 21-6 win over Marywood Tuesday afternoon at the Cougars' Mangelsdorf Field. With the win, the Cougars evened their record at 3-3 overall and 2-2 in conference play while the Pacers fell to 0-2 on the young season and 0-1 in the PAC.
 
Laura Gierman (Columbus, NJ) registered four points for the Pacers after scoring two goals and dishing out two assists. Alanna Waldron (Liverpool, NY) netted three goals to bring her team-leading total to five on the season. Allie Sodl (Coplay, PA) netted her second goal of the season while Carrie Glenn (Rifton, NY) added an assist.
 
Shannon Tinkham had four goals and three assists and Nicole DeAngelis added four goals for the Cougars. Jamie Wargo had two goals and four assists and Kelly Miller and Natasha Jankowsky had two goals each.
 
Marywood's Katie Sullivan (Merrick, NY) made six saves in the first half while Danielle Mira (Keansburg, NJ) played the second half and recorded seven saves in the Pacers' net.  Allison Hoffer picked up the win after making seven saves for Misericordia.
 
The Pacers will return to action on Thursday when they travel to Allentown, PA to face-off against Cedar Crest College in a Pennsylvania Athletic Conference game scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
