Wilkes-Barre, PA - Marywood's Bill Hall pitched a complete-game nine-hitter in the nightcap to salvage a split with King's College Sunday afternoon as the Pacers took the season series with the Monarchs, 2-1.  King's pounded out 23 hits in game one to get past Marywood 20-4, but Hall's effort resulted in a 9-4 win for the Pacers in the nightcap.
The split puts Marywood at 11-12 on the year while King's moves to 13-14.

In the opener, Marywood scored three of their four runs in the first two innings but King's responded with seven runs in those innings and added two more in the third and nine more in the fourth to take a commanding lead.  Alex Magid (South Salem, NY) took the loss on the mound for Marywood after allowing 10 runs (9 earned) on 12 hits over two innings of work.  Jeff Cleary (Parsippany, NJ) came on and pitched 1.1 inning, allowing seven earned runs (9 total).  Joseph Valvano (Katanah, NY) pitched the final 2.2 innings and allowed one run while striking out three.

Justin Linko (Scranton, PA) was 1-2 with two RBI in the opener, while Thomas Czerw (Scranton, PA) and Jason Bugno (Clarks Summit, PA) picked up Marywood's other RBIs.

Hall (Lake Ariel, PA), pitching in his first game of the season for the Pacers, went the distance and allowed four runs with two strikeout in the nightcap.  David Lewis (Scranton, PA) was 1-3 with three RBI for the Pacers as the sophomore center-fielder knocked in all three runs with a bases clearing two-bagger in the third.  Patrick Diskin (Clarks Summit, PA) was 2-4 with two RBI as well.

Marywood returns to action Tuesday afternoon with a non-conference single game at Keystone College.  First pitch in LaPlume is scheduled for 3:30 pm.  The Giants will be joining the PAC in the fall of 2008.
