Edwardsville, PA - Playing without defending PAC #2 singles champion Joe Listanski, Marywood fell in their final match of the regular season as host King's took a 5-4 win from the Pacers Monday afteroon at Kirby Park in Edwardsville.  Marywood's unblemished record comes to an end and the Pacers will head into the PAC Team Championships next weekend with an 11-1 record.

Marywood took an early 2-1 lead after doubles action but King's rallied to win four of six singles matches and end Marywood's hopes of a perfect season.  Kyle McGee (Wynnewood, PA) remained undefeated with a 7-5, 7-5 win at 1-singles, and Greg Chilson (Mountainside, NJ) got a 6-1, 6-1 win at 2-singles.  Chilson, playing up a spot in place of Joe Listanski, was replaced at 3-singles by Tim Franzone (Staten Island, NY).  Franzone fell to Blake Bonser 6-1, 6-1.  King's would then sweep the remaining singles matches to earn the 5-4 win.

Marywood, who clinched the top-seed in this coming weekend's PAC Team Championships, has a perfect 7-0 mark in conference play.  The PAC Team Championship will take place at the West End Racquet Club in Allentown, PA.  Directions to West End Racquet Club can be found at the link below.
