Scranton, PA – Marywood got a five-point effort from Laura Gierman and Alanna Waldron and Allie Sodl each scored three goals to lead the Pacers to a 15-5 victory over visiting Immaculata University in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference action Tuesday afternoon.  With the win, Marywood improved their record to 2-9 in their inaugural season and 2-7 in conference play while the Mighty Macs fell to 1-9 overall and 1-7 in the PAC.

The Pacers built a 4-0 lead over the first seven and half minutes of the game after getting two goals from Gierman (Columbus, NJ) and one from both Waldron (Liverpool, NY) and Sodl (Coplay, PA).

The Mighty Macs got on the board at the 18:26 mark of the opening period when Audra Dinapoli scored off a Claire Lichty assist.  Genevieve Vidas (Old Bridge, NJ) answered for the Pacers by scoring off a fast break five minutes later, but Lichty would bring the visitors to within three goals by tallying off a feed from Anastasia Likanchuk.

Marywood would take a 7-2 lead into halftime as Waldron and Sodl netted unassisted goals in the final 6:43 of the opening stanza.

The Pacers broke the game wide open in the second half, scoring six times in the first 7:47 to build a commanding 13-2 lead.  Katlyn Fitzpatrick (Old Bridge, NJ) started the run by forcing a turnover after the Mighty Macs controlled the opening face-off and racing down the field to score unassisted.  Gierman sandwiched a pair of goals around Sodl's third of the game before Kelly Kuzicki (Vernon, NJ) scored at the 22:56 mark.

Meg Barbarino (Binghampton, NY) netted her first collegiate goal 43 seconds later for the Pacers and Alexis Willey (Hummelstown, PA) added an unassisted goal with 13:57 to play.
