Selinsgrove, PA – Marywood was unable to get back in the win column on Saturday at the Susquehanna Quad match, dropping all three matches in four games to Susquehanna, Lycoming, and Baptist Bible.  The losses drop the Pacers record to 1-7 on the season.

In the day's opener, hosts Susquehanna took the first game 25-7 before the Pacers leveled the match with a 25-22 result in game two.  The Crusaders took the next two games by scored of 25-12 and 25-10 to pick up the win.  Natasha Freethy (Honesdale, PA) led Marywood with five kills while Arrielle Cassidy (Garwood, NJ) added five digs.

Taking on Lycoming in their second match of the day, the Pacers again dropped the opening game (25-20) before equalizing in the second (25-20).  Marywood, who got 12 digs from Cassidy against the Warriors, fell 25-18 in the third game and 25-17 in the fourth.  Lizzy Green (Shenandoah, PA) had 9 kills in the match while Riona Corr (Somersworth, NH) contributed 26 assists.

In the final match of the day, Baptist Bible jumped out to a two games to none advantage with scores of 25-12 and 26-24 before the Pacers narrow the Defenders lead to 2-1 with a 27-25 decision in the third game.  Baptist Bible dashed the Pacers' hopes of a comeback with a 25-21 win in the fourth game.  Freethy led Marywood with 6 kills in the match, while Corr added 22 assists and Cassidy contributed 13 digs in a losing effort.

Marywood will return to action on Monday when they host former conference for Misericordia University at 7:00 p.m. in the Insalaco Arena.
