Scranton, PA - Marywood University scored two goals within a four minute span in the second half to send the Pacers to a 2-0 win over visiting Philadelphia Biblical University in field hockey action Saturday afternoon in Scranton. The win moved Marywood to 2-3 (1-0 CSAC) on the year while the Crimson Eagles fell to 1-6 (0-1 CSAC).

After a scoreless first half, reserve forward Meghan Ballantine (Cragsmoor, NY) came off the bench and provided the spark the Pacers needed as she buried home a Mary Potorski (Bear Creek, PA) pass for the eventual game-winning tally. Less than four minutes later, Carly Savastano (Honesdale, PA) put in her team-leading fourth goal of the year unassisted.

Marywood net-minder Jennifer Miller (Hawley, PA) picked up her first collegiate shut-out in goal after making eight saves on the day. Crimson Eagle goalkeeper Lauren Roth had a game-high 13 saves.

Marywood returns to action Sunday at 2:00 pm when they host Wells College in non-conference action.
