Marywood Moves to 3-1 in CSAC Play, Downs PBU 8-1

Langhorne, PA - Marywood University allowed just one point en route to their third CSAC win of the year as the visiting Pacers topped host Philadelphia Biblical University 8-1 in women's tennis action Saturday afternoon in Langhorne. The win improves Marywood to 3-2 (3-1 CSAC) on the year, while the Crimson Eagles fall to 0-6 (0-3 CSAC).

Marywood cruised to 8-0 wins at one, two and three doubles to build an early 3-0 lead. The Pacer then routed PBU in 2-6 singles as Ashley Karli, Jodi Balch, Beth Scheider, Amy Doot and Sarah Jane Lockenmeyer all picked up easy wins. Balch, Doot and Lockenmeyer did not surrender a point in their 6-0, 6-0 wins.

PBU picked up their lone point of the day as Katelynn Wilson topped Ryann Null 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 10-4 in a third-set supertiebreaker to end the day.

Marywood returns to action Monday when the Pacers host former PAC local rival Misericordia University in non-conference action beginning at 3:30 pm.
