Scranton, PA - Caitlin Hadzimichalis had a goal and two assists and Mary Potorski had two goals as host Marywood University built a 3-0 halftime lead before defeating Wells College 6-2 in non-conference field hockey action Sunday afternoon in Scranton. The Pacers out-shot the Express 17-5 on the day to even their record at 3-3 on the year. Wells slipped to 3-4 with the loss.

Hadzimichalis (Harmony, NJ) opened the scoring for the Pacers just over 11:30 into the game on an unassisted goal. Hadzimichalis settled a Nicole Siddall (Goshen, CT) penalty corner then one-touched it past a defender before scoring. Emily Wentzel (East Earl, PA) would make it 2-0 on a Carly Savastano (Honesdale, PA) assist a little over five minutes later, and the Pacers would build the 3-0 halftime lead on a goal by Kari Eiklor (Apalachin, NY) who scored on a Siddall assist.

The Pacers expanded their halftime lead to 5-0 on a pair of goals by Potorski (Bear Creek, PA) and Siddall, the second of which was assisted by Hadzimichalis. Wells would respond with two goals over a 3:18 span starting with Paige Corneby's unassisted tally at the 54:01 mark. Elisabeth Rollo would then score on a scramble in front of the Pacers net to bring the Express back to within three, but Potorski added her second goal of the day on Hadzimichalis' second assist to close out the scoring.

Jennifer Miller (Hawley, PA) picked up the win in the net for the Pacers after allowing two goals in 57:19 of play. She was relieved in goal by Jess Caccese (Malvern, PA) who played the final 12:41 and recorded one save. Express goaltender Beth Cereo made seven saves on the day.
